We have seen in all parties and there's no doubt, its use is global in the different products we've used, from the soles of our shoes to big wheels of heavy construction machinery. The most common way in which we see is in the tires of cars that pass every day in the city, which are made with a substance called rubber .
The rubber latex itself is extracted from a variety of plants, there are actually many varieties of rubber, including rubber, balata and gutta percha. The trees that provide the substance are Heveas the Guayule, the Ficus elastic and Castilloa Ulei, among others.
A Bit of History
rubber were our brothers in Central America the first to discover and exploit the properties of natural rubber. But it was in the Amazonian jungle where mining activity was developed from rubber or rubber tree rubber tree (in Portuguese), which is a tree that belongs to the family Euphorbiaceae, also known as tree of fortune. The stem of this tree is removed a white liquid called latex, also known commercially known as isoprene rubber or monomer.
natural rubber in its natural state, rubber appears as colloidal suspension in the latex rubber-producing plants. One of these plants is the tree Hevea brasiliensis species of the family Euphorbiaceae, native to the Amazon. Another plant producing rubber is the rubber tree, Castilloa elastic.
rubber obtained in this way has a number of disadvantages, as exposure to the environment causes the extracted liquid (latex) is contaminated with other impurities, making it a sticky substance perishable due to the action temperature. Through an industrial process, rubber is treated, eliminating impurities and then undergoes a process called vulcanization, resulting in the disappearance undesirable properties of rubber.
Thus, the rubber becomes imperishable, resistant to solvents and temperature variations, acquiring excellent mechanical properties and losing its stickiness. Collection
latex
To remove the latex from plantations, is made a diagonal cut angled downward in the bark of the tree. The latex flows from the cut and collected in a container. The amount of latex extracted from each section is usually about 30 ml.
After booting a piece of bark from the trunk base to recap the court, usually the next day. When cuts come to the floor, let the bark is renewed before playing new cuts. Video

Uses rubber
Today, you can find thousands of articles made of rubber, all to suit different objectives. One such use is the manufacture of tires, wheels, cables, gloves, boots, waterproof items, etc.
This material is widely used because it has the property of elasticity and resistance to both acid and alkaline substances, is also highly resistant to water and insulation electricity and temperature.
