WORTH A LOT BETTER RESPECT

Reading: Revelation 21:1-4 .

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no death, be no more mourning or crying" Revelation 21:4

After suffering tremendously, first cancer and after exhausting medical regimen, Pastor Dan Cummings was tired. After two weeks of treatment in Texas, longed to return to his home in Michigan. In a note on her blog, wrote: "Today I am much better [...]. It's amazing what a little hydration. [...] This weekend, I will take a flight back home to continue treatment there. "

Dan returned to Michigan, but after several days, his journey on earth ended. Went to heaven to be with God, whom he loved with every inch of her body weakened, but with a vigorous spirit.

few days later, when I looked in his blog, the words "I'm much better today" shook me. Through tears, I smiled knowing that Dan is now experiencing a life that was really "much better" (Philippians 1:23 ).

Someday, those who confess Jesus' name also will go to that place where there is "no death, nor [...] sorrow, nor crying." It is a place of no more pain and which promises to wipe away a loving Father "every tear from [our] eyes" (Revelation 21:4 ).

life we \u200b\u200bhave here is not all there. There are a lot better, that Jesus is preparing for those who love Him (John 14:2-3 ).

Reflection: Sky = no pain, no night, no death, no tears.

"Receive him [Epaphroditus], then, in the Lord with all joy, and hold in esteem those like him" Philippians 2:29

Just before the kick initial Super Bowl XLIII [final football championship], Kurt Warner, Cardinals of Arizona, received the Walter Payton Man of the Year; tribute given to the player with the most excellent work in the field of play and the best community service out of it. "I feel humbled that the Lord has given me an amazing life that impacts others," said Warner, a devoted believer in Christ. "Of all the awards given to athletes from the NFL [National Football League], [this] is notable for what it represents', a commitment to the dedication and sacrifice for others.

pay tribute to those who serve is not new. Paul referred to this when he reminded the Philippians that they honor those who were enshrined service to God. He spoke of Epaphroditus, a friend of theirs, who had been near death (Philippians 2:30 ) due to their efforts to serve others, even the people of Philippi, in the name of Christ. What should they do? The apostle said, "Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness, and hold in esteem those like him" (v. 29 ). No doubt thinking of those who sacrifice to serve the Savior, these people are worthy of our respect and esteem.

Why not find ways to show gratitude to those who have served you spiritually? Give them the honor they deserve.

Reflection: We honor God by honoring those who serve Him

WORST IMPOSSIBLE! PERSONAL FRAGRANCE

Reading: Job 1:13-22.

"I will try and come forth as gold" Job 23:10

When I taught at a Bible school in a big city, sometimes corrected the work of students in a food court while waiting for the train to go home. One day, accidentally knocked my coffee cup, and all the contents fell into my portfolio.

In most large cities, where people who commute to work, there is a quiet and peaceful. However, the noise of coffee to go was so tremendous that did not go unnoticed. Then, a man who was sitting nearby, said loudly: "Worse impossible!".

course, that comment was exaggerated. However, all are afraid a particular issue: the decline economic, death of a child or a spouse, cancer or any other loss or hardship.

The Book of Job is an example of worst impossible. However, Job wisely assessed the role of God in the midst of trials related to losses and poor health: "But he knows my way, I will try and come forth as gold" (Job 23:10 ). This wise statement teaches us two important lessons: (1) That which we fear that happening can be used to test and strengthen our character, and (2) God will provide the necessary strength and comfort to come out ahead.

Hold on to God. He promised to work in your favor, even when everything becomes worst impossible.

Reflection: The living God can take away the fear of life.

Best Foundation For Yellow Skin

Reading: 2 Corinthians 2:14-17 .

"Through us in every place Remember the smell of "2 Corinthians 2:14

You can not see, hear or touch, but the flavor is powerful. The smell of things such as crayons, petunias and perfumes evoke memories me back to the past and I bring to mind people and places that otherwise would not remember.

Some celebrities have fragrances that bear their names. The fans can identify with an actress or a singer using perfumes with their names. In this connection, the magazine Ladies Home Journal published a questionnaire to help readers determine which is the perfect fragrance for women. The idea is that for be remembered that a woman must have a aroma with which it is associated.

The concept is not new personal fragrance. God included it as part of worship. In the tabernacle, a particular substance should be associated with the Lord (Exodus 30:34-35 ). People were forbidden to use it for anything other than the worship (vv . 37-38).

This concept continues in the new covenant, but with a striking difference. Instead of using incense to make people think of Him, God uses the faithful as his "personal fragrance" to the world (2 Corinthians 2:14-15 ). God identifies with us in a way so powerful is a concept that truly humbling, and makes me wonder, "What do people think of God as a result of being around me?".

Reflection: A life lived for God is a pleasant fragrance.
