Reading: Proverbs 31:21-31 .
"Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised" Proverbs 31:30
Often, while waiting to pay at the supermarket, dedicated a moment to take a look at the covers of magazines on display there. It seems that, if not talk about sex or money, raise issues about diet, fitness, health and outer beauty. Include nothing for the soul.
The problem is that people read the wrong magazines: those that are full of lies, which are set in the beauty of the face and the However, as if everything is reduced to that. This can lead to comparisons and create a terrible embarrassment.
few years ago, a friend of mine told me about a conversation he had with a young beautiful and very confident. He said: "We see that you feel very safe. Can you tell me why is that? ". "Sure," replied the girl, is because I'm very nice. " My friend told with an extraordinary wisdom: "Ah, what a pity." "Why?" She said. To which he replied: "Maybe you still are not always pretty."
"Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain" is thought wise that we read in Proverbs 31 . Physical beauty goes away too fast, all the efforts we make to keep it are destined to fail. But in the person "who fears the Lord" (v. 30 ) is an inner beauty, the real beauty that lasts forever.
Reflection: The righteousness of the heart produces beauty of nature.
THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Joshua 1-3. Mark 16 .
